The past four years, Chad Gilbert has worked hard for the citizens of Cookeville as a member of the City Council. He is committed to building on the council’s successes and addressing the challenges facing our city by focusing on the following priorities:
Cookeville must always have the best-trained and best-equipped police officers and firefighters to respond to crime, disasters, and other emergencies that may occur in our community.
Continue to invest in improvements of our streets and roads, and the reliability of our utilities, while partnering with the county and the state to find innovative new ways to alleviate congestion and keep drivers moving.
Maintain the conservative financial management principles that guard your tax dollars by keeping the city budget balanced and by making smart decisions to properly provide essential services throughout our city.
Parks, trails, open space, and recreational activities enhance life for everyone in Cookeville. We must keep investing in these things while encouraging new entertainment and dining opportunities in Cookeville.
Cookeville is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. We must diligently preserve our city’s heritage and traditions to protect what makes this a special place for all who call Cookeville their home.
