Welcome to the official campaign website of Chad Gilbert for Cookeville City Council (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Campaign”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of this website. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Use of the Site
You may use this website for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the site to violate any law or regulation
- Interfere with or disrupt the site, its servers, or networks connected to it
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site, accounts, or systems
- Use any data-mining, scraping, or similar collection tool on the site
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
- Post or transmit any unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or threatening content through any form on the site
Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software — is the property of Chad Gilbert for Cookeville City Council or its licensors and is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law. You may share campaign content for non-commercial, supportive purposes (for example, posting on personal social media), but you may not modify it, use it in misleading ways, or use it commercially without our written permission.
The name “Chad Gilbert,” the Campaign’s logo, and “Proven leadership that’s working for Cookeville” are used as identifiers of the Campaign and may not be used without permission in any way that suggests endorsement.
Third-Party Links and Content
The site may contain links to third-party websites, services, and platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Jotform, and others). We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Your interactions with third-party platforms are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Text Messaging (SMS) Program
These provisions govern the Chad Gilbert for Cookeville City Council text-messaging program (the “SMS Program”). By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to these provisions in addition to the rest of these Terms.
Program Description
The Campaign sends text messages to supporters who have opted in. Messages may include:
- Campaign updates and news
- Event announcements and reminders (rallies, meet-and-greets, town halls)
- Volunteer and yard-sign opportunities
- Voting reminders, including early-voting and Election Day information
- Requests for support
Opting In
You opt in by providing your mobile number on our website, on a paper form at a campaign event, or by texting a designated keyword to our short or long code. By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided, that you are at least 18 years old, and that you consent to receive automated text messages from the Campaign at the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or contribution.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. You should expect approximately 2 to 8 messages per month, with potentially higher volume in the weeks leading up to early voting (July 17, 2026) and Election Day (August 6, 2026).
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier’s standard messaging rates will apply to each message sent and received. Check with your carrier for details.
Opting Out
You can opt out of the SMS Program at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and you will not receive further texts from the Program unless you opt back in.

Supported Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, U.S. Cellular, and most other major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
SMS Privacy
Your mobile number and any information you send to us through the SMS Program are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will not sell, share, or trade your mobile number, message content, or any data collected through the SMS Program with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
Contributions
Contributions submitted in connection with this campaign are subject to Tennessee and federal campaign-finance law. By making a contribution, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old or, if younger, the contribution comes from your own funds and not those of another person.
- You are a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (“green card” holder). Foreign nationals are prohibited from contributing.
- The contribution is made from your own funds and not from the funds of any corporation, labor union, or other entity prohibited from contributing.
- You are not a federal government contractor.
- The contribution is not being made in the name of another person.
Contributions to Chad Gilbert for Cookeville City Council are not tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
Statements of policy, opinion, and political position on the site reflect the views of the Campaign as of the date posted and are subject to change.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chad Gilbert for Cookeville City Council, its volunteers, employees, officers, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Putnam County, Tennessee, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
